What is it about?
It is hearing this call of the Holy Spirit who, after the Second Council of the Vatican has aroused a strong awakening among the people of God and especially among lay people. He is renewing his Church, making her beautiful as the bride who prepares herself for the coming of the bridegroom ; he is enriching her with totally new gifts such as new communities including faithfuls with all the vocations and states of life : families, single persons, consecrated brothers and sisters, priests and deacons, etc...
Being fascinated by the beauty of the Kingdom to come and by the splendor of the Jerusalem of Heaven, those faithfuls want to devote all the ardour of their heart to anticipate this life of the Kingdom, thus welcoming all the graces and means of communion with the unseen world that the Holy Spirit spreads in his Church.
They consecrate in a total and final way their whole life to the Coming of the Kingdom.
They want to imitate the first Christian Community, thus creating with their brothers and sisters a life of fraternal communion and of sharing, seeking the unity of hearts and souls, so as no one in the Community will consider anything as his own property, but that between them and the other members everything they own would be held in common. (acts 4, 32).
They will be at the school of the carmelite tradition for a faithful and perseverant practice of prayer, seeking this nuptial union with Christ to which all the Christians are called in order to anticipate on earth the life of the Trinity. Thus, they will allow themselves to be burnt and consumed by the divine love, so as to keep ablaze in the heart of the Church this love which is her only life and her only strength.
They are ready to follow the childlike way of the Little Flower to learn there the joyful consent to their poverty and the bold trust in their Father’s mercy.
They choose to embrace willingly the Cross of Christ, by the practice of poverty, obedience and chastity, according to the different states of life, welcoming as a precious grace all the sufferings and trials which will make them grow poorer and deprived of themselves, so as to be conformed to Christ in his nakedness.
They will trust in the Providence and not entertain any worry, but in all things, both spiritual and material, they will rely on the faithfulness of their heavenly Father who will take care of all their needs.
They also want to entertain a special love and esteem for the people of the first covenant, the Jewish people, and will recognize the everlasting privilege of Israel because it was they who were adopted as children, the glory was theirs and the covenants ; to them were given the law and the worship of God and the promises. To them belong the fathers and out of them, so far as physical descent is concerned, came Christ who is above all, God blessed for ever. (Rm 9, 4).
They will receive with gratefulness the wealth of the inheritage transmitted by Israel and will pray fervently to hasten the plans of God on Israel and the accomplishment of his unique role in the history of salvation. They believe that the historical and eschatologic foundation of oeucumenism is to be found in this restaured relationship with the root that sustains them¡¦ (Rm 11, 18).
They will be united to the prayer of Jesus that they may all be one and that his Church may find again her unity. They will recognize the richness of the other Churches and welcome their gift, especially those from oriental Churches so that the lifestyle and the liturgy of the Community may become a prophetic anticipation of the unity that the Holy Spirit is realizing among all the members of the Body of Christ.
They will see Jesus in every poor person, Jesus who invites them to embrace him with their love. They will let themselves be taught by the poor in order to live the first beatitude.
They will have a burning zeal in their heart for God to be known and loved by all his children, and for the preaching of the Gospel to all the nations. They will unceasingly widen the horizons of their heart to answer the call adressed by mankind seeking salvation. They will be ready to welcome the gifts of prophecy, of healing, and the other charisms wich go with the preaching of the word and make it efficient.
They will fully consecrate themselves to the Virgin Mary according to the spirituality of Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort, seeking a true mystical union with her, living within her to receive the plenitude of divine life and the effusion of the Holy Spirit.
They will choose as a model for their community life the Holy family of Nazareth, and will learn with them to live not for themselves, but for the other. They will find there the true meaning of human relationships, and will let Saint Joseph teach them about genuine fatherhood, so that their house become true families and places of human, affective and spiritual healing for our generation that is so wounded.
They will be submitted with filial devotion to the Catholic Church and to her representatives, to the instructions and teachings of the Holy Father, to the pastoral autority of the bishops, and will seek as best as they could the communion with the different types of reality of the Church they may be in touch with.
They will conform their life to the Rule of life of the Community, to her statutes approuved by the Church, but they also will be ready to welcome the novelty of the Holy Spirit, knowing that the grace of the Community goes widely beyond her juridical structures. Thus, they will allow those who are called to the spiritual family she constitutes to belong to her according to different and flexible ways.
